All of the LANSA online documentation is provided in online format (CHM - Compiled HTML) to give you a comprehensive search feature and quick and easy access to the vast knowledge base of LANSA products.

To view the CHM formatted files, you will need Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6 or later. You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer from www.microsoft.com/windows/microsoft-edge

For your convenience, the CHM files have been provided with both an online and print-friendly capability. To obtain the best features of the print-friendly version, read Tips.chm.

Please use the version of the LANSA documentation which matches your version of the LANSA software. Many software features and installation instructions are specific to a version of the software.

For details of the third-party software and hardware combinations that are supported when running LANSA software please review the LANSA Supported Platforms.

Compare the Edition Date listed below with the one listed on the title page of your guide to determine if you need to download the latest version. When you download a guide, be sure to replace all existing versions. If you have any difficulties displaying the downloaded guide or are delayed with Microsoft security messages, go to the CHM Troubleshooting.

Instructions:

1. Download the file for the Guide you want to your hard drive.
2. If the file is zipped, unzip it into a directory on your hard drive.
3. Move the file into the same directory as the remainder of your LANSA documentation. (This will most likely be \X_WIN95\X_LANSA\EXECUTE\ENG)
4. Double click the file to launch the guide.

*If you have applied this update to your Visual LANSA environment, you do not need to download this document as it will have been installed with the Visual LANSA software.
