Compiling a report means that an executable program (.EXE) for a report will be generated. A compiled report can be executed outside the Crystal environment, for example by pressing a "report icon" directly from a customized windows group. A compiled report may also be executed by other application software (a VB or PC application).
Compiling (PDF 20KB) is a document containing a detailed description of how to compile reports.
The Distribution facility makes it easy to give a report (with its related files and DLLs) to other PC users. There is no charge for the run-time license of Crystal Reports for LANSA Client and reports can be freely distributed to other PC users.
Distribution (27KB) is a document containing a detailed description of how to distribute reports.
